Crypto exchange OKX has launched its own Ethereum-based layer 2 network, X Layer, similar to Coinbase’s layer 2 network. Using Polygon’s CDK, X Layer enables state and liquidity sharing across multiple blockchain networks, using Ethereum’s scaling protocol Aggregation Layer. X Layer offers faster and cheaper transactions for users participating with on-chain applications, powered by ZK-proofs, a technology used by other layer 2 networks. By supporting EVM, X Layer makes it easier for developers to launch or transfer Ethereum dApps without rewriting code.
